Women with ADHD: Books to help you progress

People with ADHD tend to have interest-based attention systems and have the ability to focus on multiple things at once. As a woman with ADHD, I have both! Although reading is a tedious task for me because it requires a lot of central focus for me, here is a collection of some books that I have read myself, are on my 'to read' list, and heard great reviews on. Many of these are also available as audiobooks, for those who struggle as I do!

This one is for the bookworms who can hyper-focus, to help you understand more about your ADHD and how to manage certain symptoms. Here are my Top 3 books to help you progress...

  1. A Radical Guide for Women with ADHD

  2. ADHD Figuring it Out Step by Step

  3. Understanding ADHD in Girls & Women

Leanne Maskell is a woman with ADHD speaking on her own experiences and outlining everything you need to know, from A-Z. Well-researched, this book gathers lots of different facts to help people understand ADHD and advice on coping mechanisms for common symptoms. This is my personal #1 with its essential practical tips and points of discussion.
